Yup, you are forgetting: VC++ 2005 has an IDE for ANSI/ISO Standardized C++ as well as the .Net platform.

why wouldn't you want .Net? It has standardized and managed C++ to toy with ... the more the better!

Ya, That may be true but it does simplify programming forms in C++.
